THOUSANDS of Diazepam tablets were seized during a warrant in Leigh.
Officers executed a drugs warrant at a house on Maple Crescent, at around 1.30pm on Thursday 21 August 2014.
Police seized in excess of 6,600 tablets. No arrests have been made but inquiries are ongoing.
Police Con Paul O’Donnell said: “This was a significant find and thanks to the information we have received, we have managed to prevent these tablets from hitting the streets.
“Diazepam, when the correct dosage has not been taken, can be addictive and make people’s lives a misery.
“I would like to ask anyone who has information as to where drugs are being produced or sold to contact the police.
“You may think the information you have is insignificant but to police it could be very helpful in an investigation.”
