JOAN HORTON On 5th January 2018, after a long battle with Motor Neurone Disease, JOAN, aged 71 years. Loving wife of Bill, devoted mum of Robert and Steven and loving nana of Sam and Annabelle. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Requiem Mass will be offered on Friday 19th January 2018 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Leigh at 12.00 noon prior to committal at Howe Bridge Crematorium at 1.00pm Family flowers only please, donations if desired to M.N.D. Association or Wigan & Leigh Hospice. Hi Bill, Robert & Stephen. So Sad to hear the news about Joan. Jack and I have often wondered how Joan was. We have lived in Southern Spain for the past two years and have totally lost contact with most people. You both will be remembered as being part of our early lives in Whimbrel Road.Joan will be fondly remembered as a close and valued neighbour and friend. We all enjoyed our New Year Celebrations in your home in the early 70s.She was a good Catholic, a friend and confident and will be sadly missed. We will remember Joan in our prayers. You both enjoyed a great marriage with two wonderful Sons. You have so many great memories to remember and support you during this difficult time. Stay strong. Lots of love Mary and Jack. XX
