JOHN FRANCIS CHARLES PONTIN 1923 2018 John F.C. Pontin, formerly of Cheltenham, passed away on the 9th July, 2018 at the age of 94. John had a varied and interesting life. His careers spanned from business to conservation over some 60 years. He was a founder of the Gloucestershire Trust for Nature Conservation (Wildlife Trust) 1961 His love of the countryside was expressed in his interest in planning issues, particularly relating to the woodlands in Buxton. John always played an active part in the community. He was a member of a number of societies. John's funeral service will be held at Howe Bridge Crematorium on Monday 23rd July 2018 at 12.15pm.
