A COMMEMORATION day to mark 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War is being held at Leigh Library.

Pensioners Link is holding the day, which will be attended by Leigh MP Andy Burnham in the Derby rooms on Tuesday, August 5 at 11am.

A display by the Royal Air Force Cadets will open the day and there will be dancers from the 180 club, a group of ukulele musicians and a choir.

There will also be a raffle, lunch will be served at 12.30am and tickets cost £5.
