AN ACTING school is offering young people the chance to audition for its school of excellence.
Set up by Will Travis who has starred in Coronation Street, This is England and Where the Heart Is and is originally from Leigh, a Will & a Way is inviting young people who are serious about an education in the world of theatre, film and television to audition for the class.
Will set up the school 12 years ago and has been joined since by fellow actors Susan McArdle and Paul Tomblin.
He said: “There is a wealth of professional expertise on offer and we would like to pass that on to people who are eager to work in the industry. For this, you will bring your commitment and creativity, and let us nurture your abilities.”
The auditions will take place on September 3 at Westleigh High School from 5pm until 9pm and successful candidates will then attend the school of excellence on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm until 9pm.
Pupils will be required to pay for the whole term up front at £20 per session but there will be a limited number of financially assisted scholarship places available to candidates who find it difficult to meet the costs.
For those people who are just interested in having fun in drama then a Will & a Way has classes at Westleigh High School on a Saturday from 10am until 11.30 for seven-to-12-year-olds and from 11.30am until 1pm for people aged 13 and over.
To book an audition email willtravis1@virginmedia.com or call on 07974 103034.
