A ‘REAL pearl of a panto’ will see a prize given for the audience member wearing the best pirate costume at each performance.

The St Joseph's Players production of Robinson Crusoe runs from Wednesday, January 18, to Saturday, January 28.

Written and directed by the award-winning Doreen Johnson, the pantomime will be held at St Joseph’s Concert Hall on Chapel Street in Leigh.

A spokesman for the amateur dramatics society said: “This pirates pantomime is an enchanting mix of live music, magic, adventure and fun with plenty of audience participation along with a brilliant cast.

“The characters embark on a journey of madness and mayhem, even to the depths of the ocean.
