COMEDY fans are sure to have 'Locks of laughs' at a Leigh pub on Sunday, April 2.
The Lock public house on Twist Lane is holding a free comedy night from 7pm to give funny men and women a platform to showcase their talent.
Organiser and compere Gareth Wolstenhulme hopes the Locks of Laughs event will prove to be a big hit and will pave the way for The Lock to start holding open mic nights every Thursday and inspire other pubs and clubs to put on comedy nights too.
The 39-year-old dad-of-one said: “There is not much in the way of investment in comedy in Leigh now, which is quite scary.
“It is a passion of mine and I want to host comedy and get people to come and have a good time.
“I hope it is a success and other pubs have comedy nights because we need to get acts out and about.
“I think it will benefit everybody. Who doesn’t like having a laugh?”
