AWARD-winning make-up will be on show in a spellbinding production of Roald Dahl’s The Witches next month.

Make-up artist Kimberley Slack has teamed up with Turnpike Community Theatre (TCT) for the production in Leigh.

She recently won the media make-up competition hosted by Greater Manchester Colleges Group in association with WorldSkills UK for her Witches make-up.

TCT chairman and artistic director Neil Gredecki said: "The Witches is a great story and this stage adaptation captures all the magic of the original Roald Dahl story and more.

"The production will appeal to audiences of all ages and we are particularly pleased to have Kimberley involved as our make-up artist as her prosthetics and make-up really add another dimension to the production."

David Wood’s adaptation of the classic tale follows last year's hugely successful production of James and the Giant Peach, which yielded record ticket sales.

It will be held at the Turnpike Gallery at 7.15pm on Thursday, May 18, to Saturday, May 20.

There will also be a show at 2.15pm on the Saturday.

Tickets are £5 for adults, £4.50 for concessions and £17 for families of two adults and two children.

Due to large numbers of pre-sales and the high demand for last year's show, residents are encouraged to book tickets as soon as possible.

Tickets can be bought online at turnpikecommunitytheatre.com.
