They have all been added to an extreme sports map created in partnership with GoPro and a group of adrenaline-loving influencers. 

The map of can be browsed by type of activity and level of difficulty.

A spokesman added: "Whether it’s travelling the world’s fastest zipline or abseiling down to the UK’s deepest point, the 40 specially-chosen locations on our map can satisfy even the wildest adventurers.

"Head to our extreme sports map of the UK to explore some of the wildest and most unusual extreme sports experiences in the country.

"Whatever you decide, the UK’s biggest and most unusual activities across air, water and land are sure to test you like never before."

North west locations include:
