John Cleese has been hassling the Hoff for a part in his new spoof documentary, Hoff The Record, according to the Baywatch star.
David Hasselhoff says he’s become good friends with the Monty Python star and said that he was keen to get involved in a second series of the upcoming programme.
The Hoff told the Radio Times: “We have been commissioned for a second series of Hoff The Record and John Cleese tells me he wants to be in it. We’re looking at ways of making that work.”
Hoff The Record, which will air on Dave, has not even launched its first series yet but has already been signed up for another run.
It will see a fictional version of David arrive in the UK determined to kick start his career again, but beset by all manner of humiliating obstacles.
During one episode, David will be forced to audition to play himself, but is pipped to the post by a dwarf actor going for the part of “child Hoff” who is deemed to give a better performance than the man himself.
The Hoff said: “It’s not reality television, thank God. It’s fun.”
Hoff The Record begins on June 18 at 9pm on Dave.
