It’s about time we addressed our turbulent love-hate relationship with freckles now that it’s June. As with everything, it’s those who don’t have freckles who want them, and those who do have them who want rid. The grass is always greener blah blah.

In a bid to convince freckled faces that there’s no reason to cover up, insta favourites Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski have been drawing on freckles (or rather their “glam squads” have…), and the results have been really quite sweet.

Following the launch of Topshop’s Freckle Pencil last year, beauty director at Glamour magazine, Alessandra Steinherr, appeared on Good Morning Britain to confess her love for speckled noses and cheeks.

She said: “I loved seeing them cluster up around my nose on beach holidays, as it made me feel all surfer-girl cool, and I would even draw some on with my mum’s eyebrow pencil.

“I am also a real fan of embracing our uniqueness and turning it into a strength rather than a weakness.”

The technique for drawing on freckles is pretty self-explanatory, as you can imagine. But if you’re a bit apprehensive, Topshop created a short tutorial for you to watch. Isn’t that nice?

I mean, even the world’s highest paid (recently retired) supermodel Gisele Bundchen has them!

And if that doesn’t convince you, then I’m afraid nothing will.
