Jules O’Dwyer and her dog Matisse are the ninth winners of Britain’s Got Talent.

In their final performance the duo performed a sketch where Matisse was meant to have stolen some sausages. Jules, dressed as a bobby, had to chase him. It saw Matisse steal the show as he gave her the slip, walked over a tightrope, and popped up in bins, before eventually showing he’d stolen the sausages for his three-legged friend Skippy.

They beat eleven other finalists to take home £250,000 and earn a spot at this year’s Royal Variety Performance.

Owner Jules thanked everyone who had voted, and joked about the Royal Variety Performance saying: “I’m going to have to buy a corgi.”

The other two top acts were choir Cor Glanaethwy and magician Jamie Raven.

Raven landed in second place after wowing the judges by making a bank note signed by judge Alesha Dixon appear in the middle of a lemon.

On coming second, Raven said: “To be honest, I think, technically I was the most talented human being. I just want to say thank you to everyone who voted.”

Out of the final twelve, two were announced on the evening as wildcard choices, with the public wildcard vote going to nine-year-old Jesse-Jane McParland and the judges’ wildcard choice was dance group, Boyband.

TV hosts Ant and Dec said the show had received a total of 4.5 million votes.
