MEN - don’t be alarmed if your wives and girlfriends gain a sudden obsession with soup.

After last night’s documentary 10 Things You Need To Know About Losing Weight, women across the nation will be throwing out any solid foods to make way for tins upon tins of babyfood — sorry I mean soup.

Last night we learned that soup keeps you fuller for longer, fact.

An intriguing theory put to the test using ultrasound scans of Territorial Army recruits found you actually need to eat less often if you replace certain meals with soups.

And when it comes to dieting if there is any new theory out there women are genetically programmed to give it a try.

There are so many diets out there and women think they know all they ever need to know about slimming.

But apparently medical journalist Michael Mosley can still teach us new tricks to shed those extra few pounds.

I’m eagerly waiting for the day a chocolate-based diet is proven to be the way forward, much like the apple a day to keep the doctor away.
