AN Atherton-based theatre group are seeking a leading man to save their next production.

The New Garrett Theatre's production of "Disco Inferno" could be called off if the role cannot be cast.

Recent auditions failed to find a suitable male in his mid 20s or over with a good singing voice for the 70s' theme show which is planned for June 11-13 at the Formby Hall.

A society spokesman said: "Unfortunately we are a man short of a show and Cathy is missing a Heathcliffe. Unless we find a suitable player we may have to cancel. We were wondering if there is someone who could fill the part out there."
