THE Veterans Council, a charity that now takes referrals from a wider area than Wigan borough where it was formed is offering help to ex-service personnel who may be in difficulty.
"Every week we help veterans struggling with homelessness, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and alcoholism," Platt Bridge based Veterans Council chairman Des White.
"Many of these men and women have served their country in war zones and have seen friends killed and injured. Christmas is a time when many veterans struggle with the break down of relationships and other problems. Don't suffer in silence."
