Apprenticeship opportunities

AN apprenticeships project has been set up to support 16-18 year-olds in their quest to get qualified, get work experience and get an apprenticeship.

The App. Club set-up by Active Synergy, based in Leigh, is offering sport and business opportunities.

The two days per week course offers individuals the chance to gain valuable work experience with a local employer and those enrolled will be paid £30 a week for attending and receive support to find an apprenticeship.

The Sport App. Club which starts on Thursday, January 24, provides the opportunity of attaining a Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Learning in PE and School Sport and the Business App. Club course which starts on Friday, January 25, will lead to a Level 2 BTEC First Award in Business.
