Thumbs-up for successful Ofsted report
CULCHETH Primary School is celebrating after receiving a successful Ofsted report.
Government inspectors commended the behaviour and safety of pupils as outstanding.
Inspector Lyn Pender said: “Pupils are happy, welcoming and well-mannered. They are extremely proud of their school community.
“Leaders and staff foster pupils’ love of learning by planning exciting and memorable activities which inspire and motivate them to work hard and strive to succeed.”
The school in Warrington Road has 210 pupils.
Head teacher Amanda Smith said: “We’re delighted with the report and think that it reflects our school well.
“We are particularly proud that they have recognised the outstanding behaviour displayed by our pupils and that safety is also outstanding.”
Inspectors said the teaching of phonics, letters and sounds children make as they learn to read is outstanding, particularly in reception and key stage one.
