Marie Curie volunteers needed at Atherton
8:20am Thursday 17th January 2013 in News
MARIE Curie Cancer Care are appealing for help, they are looking for new volunteers in the local Atherton community.
At present they are looking for appeal co-ordinators to look after the Great Daffodil Appeal in March, helping to organise the supermarket collections in the area and to look after the daffodil boxes which go into local shops.
Siobhan Heffernan, Community Fundraiser for the charity said ‘We are looking for individuals who are organised with great communication skills to join us to raise money to support the Marie Curie Nursing Service to provide care to people terminally ill with cancer and other illnesses.
This could be a brilliant New Years resolution to stick to’.
If you think you have a few hours spare every few weeks and would like to get involved, please contact Siobhan on 0161 255 2809 or email siobhan.heffernan@mariecurie.org.uk
