Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS hospital telephone upgrade could affect calls

Maintenance work will affect Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust telephone system on between 8pm on Wednesday, February 27 and 4am the following morning.
ESSENTIAL maintenance work will affect Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust telephone system on between 8pm on Wednesday, February 27 and 4am the following morning.
A Trust spokesman said during this period there may be intermittent spells lasting of under 10 minutes duration when the main telephone system will be closed down.
Mobile telephones and radio systems will be used alongside the backup telephone system in key clinical areas to ensure essential communications can be maintained but people who need to make a call are asked to be patient and try again if connection fails.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we ask for everyone’s ongoing support and patience whilst the upgrade is applied," said the spokesman.
