Liverpool Crown heard that Jamie Wilde was homeless at the time and started using amphetamine
A 20-year-old man, angry because his mum had given his dog away, broke into her flat and stole her flatscreen television.
Liverpool Crown heard today (Thursday) that Jamie Wilde was homeless at the time and started using amphetamine. While under the influence of that drug he broke in through a window, boarded up because he had earlier smashed it.
Wilde, of Irvine Street, Leigh, admitted burglary and failing to surrender to bail.
Recorder Abigail Hudson, who heard that Wilde had spent six weeks on remand in custody, sentenced him to six months detention suspended for 12 months. She also placed him under supervision for a year.
“You had a difficult childhood and problems with your mother in the past. You have a certain degree of resentment towards her but that is not enough to justify acting in this manner towards her,” she said.
Arthur Gibson, prosecuting, told Liverpool Crown Court that after breaking a window at his mother’s home in Wigan Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield, he goaded her by saying he had broken in and was remaining there.
