Boothstown beer festival promises to be bigger and better
3:30pm Monday 2nd September 2013 in News
DRINKERS will soon be raising a glass to help raise money for the Boothstown branch of the Royal British Legion.
After the success of last year’s event a 2nd Boothstown Beer Festival is being staged at the Boothstown RBL club in Victoria Street.
The festival has stepped-up a gear and will boast a selection of 40 beers, eight ciders and four perries.
Organiser Gordon Robinson said: “We are grateful to everyone who attended last year’s festival and helped us raise over £6,000 for the Legion. This has spurred us on to make this year’s festival bigger. But with all these extra beers we need extra sponsors, either individuals or businesses.“
Sponsorship fee is £50 per barrel and sponsors will receive acknowledgment in the festival programme and have their name on the barrel and receive two free admission tickets.
Contact Kenny or Jan at the club on 0161 790 2928 for more information.
The festival will be open on November 15 from 7pm until 11pm and on November 16 from 12pm to 4pm and 7pm to 11pm.
Admission is £5 including a souvenir glass, a programme containing beers details and tasting notes plus live entertainment.
