THE Cadence Café is celebrating its first anniversary this week.

Born from the success of the Cadence Festival, the Tyldesley café has gone from strength to strength since opening last September.

To celebrate its success acoustic performers will be playing in the café throughout Friday afternoon before a birthday band night on Saturday.

Company director Ian Jackson said: “I can’t believe that it has been a year already as it has all gone by so quickly. We have achieved so much in such a small space of time and we don’t plan on slowing down any time soon.

“I think it’s great that we can run something like this in the Tyldesley area as there is so much creative talent around and now they have a place where that talent can be showcased.”

As well as performances from the likes of The Kill Van Kulls and The Lottery Winners, the café also regularly plays host to educational courses and community projects.
