Relatives rescue seven-year-old's birthday party after planners fail to show

A SEVEN-year-old girl was ‘distraught’ after being let down by party planners on her birthday.
Golborne resident Andy Frost had entrusted a Warrington company to plan and undertake all the requirements for his daughter Jessica’s party on Sunday.
He says they were promised party bags, music and staff to run the party but, at the allocated time, no-one turned up.
“We were left with 10 very disappointed girls and a distraught daughter.
“No-one contacted us from the company and no-one would take our calls,” he said.
“They finally got in touch at about 8pm on Sunday night but they didn’t even sound apologetic and it was all by text – they wouldn’t speak to us on the phone.
“They were supposed to send out the invitations and when we phoned her and said we hadn’t received them, she assured us they must have got lost and she would send them again.
“When they still didn’t turn up, she told us the same thing but there were still no invitations on the day of the party.
“If it wasn’t for the fact my sister-in-law is a hairdresser and my business partner’s wife has a nail bar, my daughter’s birthday would have been completely ruined.”
As part of the package that Andy’s wife booked more than two months ago, Jessica and her friends would have been met by a red carpet and fizzy pop, before having their hair, nails and make-up done.
“Monetarily we have only lost a deposit but I just don’t want this to happen to anyone else,” said Andy.
The Journal contacted Aloe Angel, which specialises in design-your-own party packages and pamper parties for events ranging from birthday parties to christenings, but a spokesman for the company declined to comment.
