Molly the donkey helps care home residents' confidence
8:30am Friday 20th September 2013 in News
A DONKEY paid a visit to a Leigh care home last week.
Molly dropped in to Hourigan House on Myrtle Avenue, Westleigh for a friendly petting and pampering session and to give residents the opportunity to stroke, spoil and find out more about their new four-legged, furry friend.
The benefits of animal assisted therapies are becoming increasingly recognised through helping older people gain confidence, providing companionship and helping with social interaction.
Molly lives at Manchester Animal Shelter and loves providing engaging and enjoyable experience for care home staff and residents.
