Development company wants Golborne residents' views on building proposal
1:30pm Sunday 22nd September 2013 in News
A DEVELOPMENT company has vowed to listen to Golborne residents’ views about a proposal to build more than 400 new homes.
Taylor Wimpey plans to build between 425 and 450 houses on land to the north of Lowton Road, known as Rothwells Farm, but says it wants to work with the community to ensure the right houses are delivered.
A two-day public exhibition was held last week to allow residents and stakeholders to view the plans, speak with members of the development team and provide feedback.
A Taylor Wimpey spokesman said: “We are now in the process of reviewing all comments and we will endeavour to include as many suggestions from people as possible into our final plans.
“This is not the end of our consultation with local people but the beginning and we will continue to work with the local community to develop these proposals ahead of submitting a planning application to Wigan Council.”
