A WOMAN has been charged with animal cruelty offences after four dogs killed a teenage girl in an Atherton house.
Beverley Concannon, aged 45, of Almond Grove in Wigan has been charged with two offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
Shortly after 2pm on March 26, police were called to an address on Chaucer Grove following reports a teenage girl was unconscious and a number of dogs were out of control.
Officers attended and found the body of 14-year-old Jade Lomas-Anderson.
They were confronted by a number of dogs that were aggressive and as a result four dogs were humanely destroyed by armed police officers.
Concannon is due before Wigan Magistrates' Court on October 1.
