FUN and festivities mean a busy weekend is in store at Leigh Sainsbury’s.
Father Christmas will be there this Sunday to greet children between 11am and 4pm and Leigh West Park Morris Dancers will be bag packing and giving a performance in the foyer.
A national Christmas singing event across the weekend will see charities and community groups perform carols.
Customers can also be transformed into their favourite Christmas characters thanks to festive face-painters.
By taking part, the carol singers will have the option to raise funds for the store’s charity partner Friends of Young Carers or a local charity of their choice.
A Sainsbury’s spokesman said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming Father Christmas into our store. I know he’s been really busy preparing for his round-the-world trip so it’s a great opportunity for our family shoppers to meet him. Along with our carol-singers and face-painting activities, we hope to help get our customers excited for Christmas.”
