ENTREPRENURIAL students from Westleigh High School have been putting their business ideas to the test.

As part of a nationwide enterprise competition Tycoon in Schools, students Connor Hill, Georgia Hanson, Rebecca Williams, Caleb Anderson, Lucy Martin and Nicole Adams made £457 through their innovative business idea.

They competed with other school teams by selling their chocolate infused milkshakes called Blend-It to fellow students and teachers in the hope of being named winners of Tycoon in Schools.

Head teacher John Banks said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about creating a successful business, working as a team, learning about customer service, ordering supplies, making a profit.

“I am extremely proud of these students for participating and for all our students and staff for supporting their business idea.”

The scheme was funded by Peter Jones CBE and took place throughout November.
