THIRTY one doctors and consultants at swapped their scrubs for tuxedos for a charity calendar in aid of a three-year-old Lowton boy.

Staff at Warrington Hospital are raising money to help pay for a life changing operation for Thomas Alcock.

His mum Jill Cropley is a staff nurse in intensive care.

Thomas has cerebral palsy, which means that the part of his brain which controls muscles receives incorrect signals, causing the muscles in his legs to tighten.

The tightness makes Thomas walk on his tip toes causing him extreme discomfort, difficulty with his balance and co-ordination; meaning he frequently falls over.

He has been offered the chance for a life changing operation in America and his family is fundraising to make it happen.

The calendars will be available next Thursday, December 19, from 8am to 4pm at the main entrance to Warrington Hospital as part of ‘Footsteps for Thomas’ tombola that his mum is running.

They are priced £5 with all proceeds going to help fund Thomas’s trip.
