A CHOIR has donated hundreds of pound to Leigh and Atherton Foodbank after a charity concert.
Bethel Independent Methodist Church at Newtown sang musical pieces arranged by choirmaster and organist Kevan Booth that were linked together with short readings by Eileen Melling, to an almost full house.
The audience donated £350 which was shared between two food banks.
Adrienne Simpson from the Atherton and Leigh Foodbank said: “We are very grateful to Bethel Church for this kind gesture which will help to bring some cheer to those who are struggling to buy food for their families.”
The Storehouse Project run by Billinge Family Church shared in the donation.
