THOUSANDS of pounds have been raised by the Superleigh Lottery for Leigh Centurions.
A Faulty Towers Dining Experience held in the Banqueting Suite of Leigh Sports Village raised £937 by providing an evening of interactive live theatre.
A raffle, held throughout November and December, offered 30 treats including a top prize of £1,000 and made £2,513, meaning a total of £3,450 has been donated to the club.
Superleigh lottery manager Christine Brown said: "At this time of year every penny really does count and to raise an extra £3,450 is a great bonus for the club."
"We put a lot of work into making both these fundraisers as successful as they have been and we're very pleased with the end result. I hope that this goes some way to making life for the club a little bit easier."
The lottery is also running a special promotion, new members who join before January 31 will be entered into a draw with the chance to win hospitality for two people at a 2014 Leigh Centurions league fixture of their choice.
