A YOUNG man caught for the second time with child porn was jailed for eight months today, Monday.

Despite being under various court orders for an earlier offence Richard Lovett, aged 23, continued his seedy behaviour but was caught out when police called at his Leigh home.

"In my judgement you are a young man with disturbing paedophile tendencies," said Judge Alan Conrad, QC.

He pointed out that a probation report described Lovett as "presenting a high risk of further sexual offending.

"It is apparent you are a resourceful and intelligent young man but you are also a manipulative person when it suits."

He imposed a five year Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) and ordered him to sign on the Sex Offenders Register for ten years.

Neil Biswarya, prosecuting, told Liverpool Crown Court that when police went to Lovett's home on May 15, 2012 they found he had seven cartoons of indecent images of young boys on his mobile phone.

They also found that he had hidden a computer in a loud speaker and analysis showed that he had been using internet chat rooms pretending to be a 14-year-old boy.

When he was sentenced for possessing child porn in September 2010 the judge made a SOPO restricting his internet use involving having software on his computer to make this impossible.

"You flouted the court orders," said Judge Conrad.

Lovett, of Pickley Green, Leigh, pleaded guilty to seven charges of possessing prohibited images and two offences of breaching a SOPO.

Andrew Costello, defending, said that Lovett had pleaded guilty and was willing to address the issues he has.

"He had not installed the software he should have done on his computer but had made inquiries about doing so before the police called round," he added.
