MAKERFIELD MP Yvonne Fovargue spent a morning at a Golborne GP surgery to get an idea of the pressures on its doctors and nurses.
Mrs Fovargue visited the Dr Alistair Partnership at Kid Gove House on Friday to find out the reality for both patients and GPs as part of the British Medical Association’s GP Visit Scheme.
She said: “I wanted to get to the chalk face by visiting a busy local practice that really plays a key role in our community. I was very impressed by the real go-ahead approach, willingness to innovate and work to solve problems when they arise.”
