AN ensemble of instruments will make an appearance when musical duo Bakerfield come to Westhoughton.
After years of playing in bands such as Baker’s fabulous boys, Loraine Baker and Pete Wakefield formed Bakerfield in 2010 and offer an eclectic mix of songs and stories as they take their audiences on a musical journey.
Their own versions of songs from Guy Clark, Steve Earle, Gillian Welch and many others are interspersed with self-penned songs covering topics from the sublime to the ridiculous.
Guitar, double bass, mandolin, harmonica, ukulele and banjo are just some of the instruments that will make an appearance to support strong lead vocals and instinctive harmonies.
Tickets are £8 for the concert hosted by folk dup Gary and Vera Aspey at Westhoughton Golf Club on February 21 and can be purchased by emailing info@garyandveraaspey.com or calling 01942 671995.
