A CAR had to be cut from gates outside a house in Leigh after rolling down a road and crashing into them.

The incident happened in Wigan Road at about 7.50pm last night, and involved one vehicle with two passengers, a man and a woman.

After rolling down the road, the vehicle hit some heavy duty gates.

Firefighters from Leigh attended the incident and treated one of the passengers at the scene, but neither are thought to be seriously injured.

Crews had to use specialist equipment to cut the gates off and remove the car before it could be towed away.
