AN opticians is asking for old spectacles to help fund eye tests for impoverished people.

As part of Random Acts of Kindness week, Specsavers on Bradshawgate, Leigh, have had collection bins installed and are asking people to donate their old glasses from February 10 to February 16.

The donated glasses are recycled and the money raised will help to fund vital eye tests and treatment carried out by Vision Aid Overseas in developing countries.
