A FORMER astronomy and visual arts student has created a logo which will be used to help encourage green issues.

Howard Haigh, from Westleigh, penned his eye-catching light bulb-inspired design - which will now be used on all 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust sustainability communications - in just 30 minutes.

“As part of my astronomy degree I completed a module on the Earth’s resources. It gave me a really good understanding of things like climate change,” said the 57-year-old.

“I’m so proud that I have put all that knowledge to good use as well as my design skills and come up with a logo that will hopefully inspire people to ‘think green’.”

The logo that could be used to encourage staff, service users and visitors to consider the environment. Howard’s design was chosen unanimously by the Group.”
