A CHURCH held an afternoon tea to celebrate the completion of its refurbished kitchen.
Atherton Central Methodist Church was joined by representatives from organisations that have provided grants to help transform the kitchen, including Biffa Award, Garfield Weston Foundation and All Churches Trust Ltd.
Money was also raised through a variety of activities, with church members making personal donations and gifts.
The Rev Vivienne Smith said: “The new kitchen is really wonderful. Thanks are due to everyone for their hard work and particularly to Biffa Award for their generous financial support.
“The new kitchen is a welcome addition not only for church use, but also for wider community groups which meet in our church building.“
