VOLUNTEERS are needed to help Leigh Infirmary maintain a high standard of hospital services.
A variety of volunteer positions are available in Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust’s (WWL) three hospitals including ward and reception desk volunteers.
WWL head of Public Engagement, Andrea Arkwright said: “Our volunteers find volunteering a great experience. You must be good at listening and want to help with patients, carers and the public.”
They are asking for volunteers that live in the borough, can spare a minimum of half a day each week at any time between 8.30am and 4.30pm and commit to voluntary work for at least six months.
“Volunteers are an integral part of the care team, fulfilling a variety of crucial roles to improve the patient experience,” WWL Interim Voluntary Services Manager, Nadia Koriba said.
