A SCHOOL has received further recognition for its environmental work.
As part of the Eco Schools Programme, St John's CE Infant School in Leigh has been awarded its third green flag for ‘excellence in the field of environmental activity’ in the seven years since it joined the scheme.
The school holds regular eco events such as an annual earth day, family eco arts projects and visits to green areas pioneered by a dedicated eco council.
Head teacher Emma Lightfoot said: “It is so important to teach our children to be good citizens of earth and at St John's we provide many enriching activities to enable them to learn this important role.”
