A 20-year-old woman remains in police custody
A YOUNG woman has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a seven-month-old baby.
Police were called to Bradshawgate, Leigh, at 9.45am yesterday, Tuesday, following reports that a baby had been assaulted.
A 20-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody for questioning.
The baby is still undergoing checks but is not believed to be seriously injured.
Enquiries are ongoing.
