A MAN has admitted trying to steal a van from outside a house in Leigh.

Ibrahim Yussif pleaded guilty today, Tuesday, to attempting to steal a Renault Traffic van on March 1 last year.

He denied possessing a false invoice in relation to the vehicle for the use in fraud.

Liverpool Crown Court heard that 32-year-old Yussif arrived at the property in Westbourne in the early hours of the morning in a pick-up truck after an earlier reconnaissance trip and attempted to take the van.

Yussif, of Sherwood Court, Platt Bridge, was further remanded on bail to await sentence on April 11.
