TEA proved to be the perfect way for hospital staff and patients to mark Nutrition and Hydration Week.
Senior managers from 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust joined Leigh east Labour councillors Anita Thorpe and Fred Walker to serve tea to mental health patients at Leigh Infirmary’s Sephton Unit on March 19.
“It’s especially important that people who are unwell have the fluids and nutrition they need to look after their physical and mental wellbeing and to help them to recover,” said Simon Barber, chief executive of the trust.
“Nutrition and Hydration Week 2014 was a great opportunity to remind everyone from board to ward of that fact, and to spend quality time with the people we are privileged to care for.”
