A MUM is facing her fears to throw herself out of a plane for charity.

Annette Jackson from Tyldesley will be one of hundreds of people from across the country taking part in skydives to raise money for the Hearts and Minds campaign on Saturday, April 5.

The event will help to raise awareness for World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. Annette's six-year-old son Jamie is autistic and she got involved in the campaign to provide iPads for children after seeing how useful the tablet was.

"I am nervous but I am just going to think about the challenges that Jamie faces everyday with his speech and everything else, the least I can do is a skydive," she said.
