CHANGES are being made to Greater Manchester’s Ring and Ride service.

The changes include a new fare structure and trips over six miles to the nearest local hospital, town centre or accessible public transport facility will be considered from April 1.

The service - which provides door-to-door accessible transport for people of all ages who find it difficult to use ordinary public transport – will continue to run 8am to 10.45pm, seven days a week.

Information about Ring and Ride services is available at tfgm.com/ringandride or by calling 0845 688 4933.

Calls to 0845 numbers cost up to 41p/min with a proportion of the call cost being passed on to the benefit of the called party.

On 26 December 2013 the Cabinet Office issued Guidance Notes for government departments and public services instructing them to move their 084 and 087 telephone lines over to cheaper 03 numbers.

The Environment Agency "Floodline" changed number on 3 February 2014.

The Department for Work and Pensions made the change on 17 March 2014.

Rochdale Borough Council swapped many of their numbers on 7 March 2014.

Lancashire County Council completed their changeover on 27 March 2014.

When will Manchester make the change from 0845 to 0300 or 0345?
