A CHARITY night is being held to raise money for the borough’s carers.
Crossroads Care North West uses Big Lottery Funding to provide carers with free training opportunities but are holding a race night at Platt Bridge Community centre on April 25 to raise some additional revenue.
Michael Hewson, a publicity and development worker for Crossroads said: “This will allow the carers to dictate how they would like the money raised to be spent, instead of having to adhere to the restrictions that are within the Bid.
“This money can be put towards additional training or days out, that will be voted and determined by the committee.
The night will run from 7pm until 11pm and children are welcome. There will be a raffle, tombola and people on the night will be able to participate in the race and win prizes.
