OUR pet of the week gave up the sunny climate of Spain to come and live in Atherton.
Harvey Drysdale sent in this picture of Alfie.
He said: “He is a rescue dog from Spain.
"He is a Spanish Podenco Canario and my aunt, who lives in Spain, found him starving and begging for food outside a supermarket.
“She took him home, nursed him back to health and then we brought him over from Spain to live in (not so) sunny Atherton. Here he is with my son Elliott, aged six, who is trying to make him feel more at home with his Barcelona shirt on.”
