A NURSERY hit the right notes to raise £1,700 with a sponsored sing-along.

The Little Acorns Nursery on Bolton Road, Atherton, was raising funds for children’s charity I CAN’s Chatterbox Challenge.

This year’s challenge, Sounds like Fun with Humf, aimed to develop children’s communication skills by learning songs and rhymes related to sounds, noise and even silence.

Nursery manager Tracy Telfer said: “The children and adults all had a fantastic time at our Chatterbox Challenge.

“Thank you to all the adults who sponsored our little chatterboxes, I am overwhelmed by the amount we have raised.”
