GENEROUS shoppers at Asda in Leigh have donated more than 100 Easter eggs to Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

Customers of the Atherleigh Way supermarket donated 106 eggs to patients, while any leftover eggs will be sold and the money given to the Hindley-based hospice.

Maxine Armstrong, fundraising manager at Wigan and Leigh Hospice, said: “We are overwhelmed by the support we get from Asda Leigh and the shoppers have been hugely generous once again.

“The eggs will be given to patients who stay with us and those who use our day hospice service.”
