A WALKING group has been celebrated for its resounding success.
The WLCT walking for health group, which meets weekly at Pennington Flash, won the Leading Walks category at the Ramblers annual meeting in Liverpool.
The walk regularly attracts up to 170 people and the group was presented with a trophy.
Volunteer Dave Hanbury said: “It is nice to get recognised. The group gets people on the move, and there is a great social element, as well.”
The group meets at the Flash’s car park at 9am every Monday for a two hour walk, or at 11am for an hour walk.
